The HHEAR Program stands for the Human Health Environmental Assessment Resource. It’s a NIH-funded program (National Institutes of Health) that helps researchers study how environmental exposures affect human health. I was part of the initial Westat team that build this resource. As the frontend developer I worked closely with the Senior UX Designer, and System Architects to work through a complex Drupal build. There was a high focus on accessibility and WCAG standards since this was a public health resource so the designer and I frequently collaborated.

Key Results:

1. Increase application submissions to HHEAR services by 30% within 12 months of website launch.
2. Achieve a 90% completion rate for application processes started via the website.
3. Drive 10,000+ unique visits/month to the Data Center portal within 6 months.
4. Reduce support inquiries by 25% by centralizing guidance, FAQs, and documentation.
5. Enable download access to 100+ harmonized datasets through the public-facing Data Center.
6. Achieve 80% positive satisfaction rating in post-visit surveys for usability and clarity.
